The Walkerville Covered Bridge, also known as the Vine Street Covered Bridge, is no longer standing. It crossed Little Blue River where Vine Street connects to Shelbyville, in the northeast part of Shelbyville (Walkerville). The unique bridge included a finished, rounded ceiling, over the roadway as well as the arcaded walkways with turned posts and was lost between 1958 and 1959. How often did we travel across this bridge on our way to the to the county fair.
