Your Privacy
Privacy is very important to me. I am providing this Privacy Policy to explain my protection of your personal information. Your continuing use of this Web site signifies that you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, and that you acknowledge that SC Alumni may change this policy at any time.
Yearbook Photos: During the summer of 2002 after this site was launch, I had a casual conversation with some of the greatest legal minds of Shelbyville about the legality of using photos from the yearbooks. The consensus was apparently there is no copyright on yearbooks and thousands of yearbooks photos are popping up on the internet every year. They suggested, however, that I offer to remove any photo requested by the subject.
Upon written request, I will remove any individual senior class photo. I will replace your photo as “Not Displayed per Request” where your photo would appear. Mail request to John at SC Alumni. Class Roster: Graduates names are public record and therefore may be displayed without permission.
Addresses and Phone Numbers: Email addresses, mailing addresses and phone numbers are usually provided by the classmates during registration. Address, phone number, and email information can be changed at any time by logging into the site. Classmates control what is displayed by modifying security options on the Profile page. Login for Profile/Biography to update.
Information not provided by classmates is usually provided by class reunion committees, family members or friends. Information not obtained through the registration process will be marked as ‘Do not Display’ when entered into the system. Password is required for all profiles created by classmates.
Biographies: This is information is supplied by the classmates. This too may be modified by the classmate by means of logging into the site. Family members of a deceased classmate may provide a biography by requesting a password for that person. Login for Profile/Biography to update.
